MOSCOW, 31 Aug — RIA Novosti. Delegations from 20 countries showed interest in the supply of Russian Orion-E attack drones at the Army-2021 International Military-Technical Forum, the Kronstadt company told reporters.
They noted that the procurement negotiations were held jointly with Rosoboronexport.
The company clarified that potential customers were also interested in the Sirius reconnaissance and strike drones, the contract for the supply of which to the Russian Armed Forces was signed at the forum.
At the same time, Kronstadt will conduct substantive negotiations on the supply of Siriuses to foreign customers after the completion of a full cycle of state tests and the start of serial deliveries in the interests of the Russian Defense Ministry.
As the general director of Kronstadt, Sergey Bogatikov, noted, "special interest was shown in the company's drones from the Middle East countries."
"The exhibition confirmed that the products of the Kronstadt company are in great demand in the world, especially in the shock version and the version with a satellite communication channel," the top manager added, as quoted by the press service.
"Orion" belongs to the class of medium-high impact unmanned aerial vehicles of long flight duration. Its maximum take-off weight is 1150 kilograms, cruising speed is 200 kilometers per hour, the maximum flight altitude is seven kilometers, the device can stay in the air for up to a day. The wingspan of the drone is 16 meters, the length is eight meters. The maximum mass of the drone's combat load is 200 kilograms.
