Jerusalem. August 29. INTERFAX-Israeli Air Force planes struck Hamas targets in the central part of the Gaza Strip on Sunday night, the Yediot Ahronot newspaper reports, citing the Israeli army.
"Fighter jets of the Israel Defense Forces attacked a Hamas military facility, where weapons production was established and a training center was located. Also, a blow was struck at the entrance to the tunnel, which was used by terrorists near the settlement of Jabaliya," the newspaper quotes the message of the army press service.
The report notes that the strikes were carried out in response to the launches of balloons filled with a combustible mixture from the Gaza Strip towards Israeli territory, as well as in response to the clashes between Palestinians and the military on the administrative border with the Gaza Strip on the eve.
Palestinian sources have not yet reported whether anyone was injured as a result of these strikes.
