Tests of the new 152-mm self-propelled artillery installation 2S43 "Malva" will be completed in 2022. This was reported to TASS on Saturday, August 28, in the Uralvagonzavod concern (UVZ, part of the Rostec state Corporation).
"Prototype..> currently undergoing preliminary tests. The full cycle of tests of the CAO, including state ones, is planned to be completed by the end of 2022, " the agency was told at the Army-2021 International Military-Technical Forum.
Serial production of the installation will begin, presumably, from 2023.
"The state customer will decide on the start of its serial production from 2023, as well as on the creation of a 155-mm export sample of the Malva CAO after the successful completion of state tests, "the UVZ added.
On May 14, sources in the military department told Izvestia that the Defense Ministry plans to put into operation the first self-propelled gun on a wheeled chassis "Malva"in the history of Russian artillery. A brigade of airborne troops is considered as one of the basing options.
