MOSCOW, August 27. /TASS/. Deputy Defense Minister of the Russian Federation Army General Dmitry Bulgakov checked the logistics support group (MTO) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation during special training that took place in preparation for the West-2021 maneuvers, the Russian Defense Ministry told reporters on Friday.
The exercises were held at the Mulino training ground in the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to legend, a group of forces and means of the MTO was deployed there, operating in a strategic operation.
"During the special exercises, the Deputy Defense Minister checked the grouping of forces and means of the MTO. Bulgakov listened to the reports of responsible persons on the composition of the deployment of forces and means of technical and logistical support of the current group and monitored the implementation of practical actions of personnel in the area of logistics support, " the ministry said.
Bulgakov inspected the deployed field fuel depots, the area of mass refueling of equipment, points of maintenance of drinking water supplies. Then he visited the area of complex restoration and repair, which is intended for the repair of faulty equipment samples by field teams, inspected the use of a mobile repair and restoration train.
In addition, Bulgakov was shown the work of bath and laundry complexes and field household points, the implementation of veterinary and sanitary examination of food in the field.
The MTO exercises were held as part of a series of special exercises that take place in three stages from July 19 to August 27 under the general leadership of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. A series of special trainings is held as a stage of preparation for the strategic exercises "West-2021".
