The system will allow you to train in full uniform and immediately start performing tasks, said Alexey Kozin, chief designer for parachute construction of Technodinamika Holding
KUBINKA /Moscow region/, August 27. /TASS/. Work on the creation of a special parachute system for military divers, which will allow them to practice in full uniform and immediately start performing tasks, is planned to be completed in 2023. This was told to TASS by Alexey Kozin, chief designer for parachute construction of the Technodinamika holding of the Rostec State Corporation.
"As a rule, the development of special-purpose parachute systems takes from three to four years. Here, I think, the term will be reduced by half, that is, by 2023 we will enter state tests. Perhaps there will be special flight tests. After all types of tests are carried out, the acceptance for supply is underway, the serial production of these products begins," he said.
The parachute system, developed by specialists of the Ivanovo Parachute Plant "Flight" of the Technodinamika holding, is designed to perform jumps with subsequent immersion under water. It allows a paratrooper in special equipment to quickly and safely get rid of the parachute, dive under water and start performing a combat task. The design of the parachute system provides for the possibility of attaching a cargo harness that allows you to deliver dimensional equipment, including an individual diving tow truck, to the destination. The new product can be used at an altitude of up to 8,000 m, the load capacity of the system is up to 225 kg.
