A number of upgraded systems for Indian T-90S tanks have passed preliminary tests
KUBINKA /Moscow region/, August 27. /TASS/. Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec State Corporation) is consulting with India on the modernization of the Indian T-90S Bhishma main battle tanks (MBT). This was announced to TASS on Friday during the international military-technical forum "Army-2021" by Alexander Mikheev, Director General of Rosoboronexport.
"Consultations are underway on the modernization of [T-90S Bhishma tanks of the Indian Army]," Mikheev informed.
As the head of Rosoboronexport noted, a number of upgraded systems for Indian T-90S tanks have passed preliminary tests. "Preliminary tests of several modernized systems installed on tanks allocated by the Indian side have been carried out. Now we are approaching the final tests, according to the results of which a decision will be made on the installation of upgraded systems on tanks," Mikheev said.
According to him, Rosoboronexport is ready to consider the supply of modernized T-90MS tanks to India. "The Indian side has not applied to Rosoboronexport with a request for the supply of T-90MS tanks, but we confirm our readiness to consider such an appeal if it is received," Mikheev said.
