A large-scale exhibition of military equipment and weapons "Army-2021"has opened at the Tolmachevo military airfield near Novosibirsk. Anyone can examine in detail the most advanced models of small arms and army vehicles. In particular, for the first time, the newest sanitary armored car "Lens"is presented at the Novosibirsk site.
- The armored car is designed to evacuate the wounded from the battlefield,-says the commander of the evacuation department of the receiving and sorting platoon of the medical company of one of the Siberian military units, Yevgeny Loginov. - The reservation of the third class of protection easily withstands a hit from small arms, up to a machine-gun burst. The hydropneumatic suspension ensures smooth running on the off-road, neither passengers nor the wounded on the stretcher will feel bumps. This is despite the fact that the weight of a fully equipped car exceeds 15 tons.
In total, the combat ambulance can accommodate up to four wounded people in a supine position and up to six people sitting. This is in addition to the crew, which consists of a driver, a paramedic and an orderly. The car has many new features: for example, the driver can control the " Lens "in the dark and with the lights off, since the image from special" night " cameras is transmitted to the monitor at the dashboard. In addition, there is a powerful winch on the roof, which will help, for example, open the hatch of a damaged tank to evacuate its crew. Previously, this was done manually.
In general, more than a hundred copies of military weapons, equipment, and various equipment are presented at the exhibition of the Army-2021 forum. Near each exhibit there are polite people in uniform who will tell about the features of the use of any of the samples, from a signal pistol to the most powerful Mi-8 AMTSH-V "Terminator" helicopter or the MiG 31-BM supersonic fighter.
Moreover, any small arms can be turned in your hands, and you can climb into any (well, or almost any) cabin to feel like a member of the combat crew. It seems that the children here are even more than the military.
By the way, for the first time, the fully restored legendary T-34-85 is also presented at the exhibition, which also arrived at the exhibition as an exhibit as part of a column of retro equipment. And if this car and a small tracked two-seater tankette had to be transported on special equipment,then wheeled armored vehicles arrived at the airfield on their own.
