MOSCOW, August 25. /TASS/. Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin said that he intends to invite entrepreneurs Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Richard Branson to launch the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, which is scheduled for October 5.
"Today I am sending an invitation to Mr. Elon Musk, we would like to invite both Mr. Branson and Mr. Bezos," he said on Wednesday on Channel One.
According to Rogozin, the presence of a "wonderful trio of space enthusiasts" at Baikonur during the launch of Soyuz MS-19 would emphasize that space "is a unique environment where unique people meet, who, despite all the problems that exist between the countries, still find the opportunity to be together",
The launch of the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft is scheduled for October 5. The main crew includes cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, actress Yulia Peresild and Klim Shipenko, the backup crew includes cosmonaut Oleg Artemyev, actress Alyona Mordovina and cameraman Alexey Dudin, who will fly to shoot the first feature film in space. The space drama with the working title "Challenge" is a joint project of Roscosmos, Channel One and the studio Yellow, Black and White.
