Almaz-Antey presented an unmanned modular electric platform

At the seventh International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021" held from August 22 to 28, 2021JSC "Concern of East Kazakhstan Region" Almaz-Antey " for the first time demonstrates a full-scale sample of a new unmanned modular electric platform.

According to the Almaz-Antey Concern, the presented modular electric platform of autonomous vehicles is "100 % domestic product" with localization of production at the Concern's enterprises up to 74 %. The equipment was created by JSC "North-Western Regional Center of the Concern of East Kazakhstan Region" Almaz-Antey "- Obukhov Plant " (St. Petersburg).

Today, various options for using the modular platform are being considered: from "unmanned logistics corridors" and backup power supply systems to autonomous terrain monitoring, border and perimeter protection.

"Starting work on this project within the framework of diversification, we were guided by the global trends in the development of environmentally friendly transport and the transition to advanced production technologies," said Yan Novikov, General Director of the Almaz - Antey Concern of East Kazakhstan Region. -

Economic calculations have shown that on the basis of our modular electric platform, it is possible to produce various vehicles of the widest purpose."

Being the basis of the model range of electric vehicles, the universal self-propelled electric platform is created on the modular principle. The developers provide for its use for building vehicles with different types of bodies, different dimensions and load capacity (up to 700 kg) with the use of batteries with a capacity of up to 90 kW/h, as well as the possibility of installing electric motors on each wheel axle. At the same time, the platform configuration also allows the use of combined power plants, for example, a gas-electric layout, which makes it possible to significantly increase the power reserve.

The platform is equipped with a separate electric all-wheel drive system with the possibility of installing electric motors with a total power of up to 320 kW, has a low center of gravity and load distribution on the axles in almost a "50-50"ratio. The temperature control system guarantees the battery operation in the temperature range from -25 to 35 °C.
