MOSCOW, 25 Aug-RIA Novosti. The holding company "Roselectronics" (part of Rostec) has developed a robotic complex for extinguishing fires at industrial facilities, in particular, on ships and drilling platforms, the state corporation said in a statement.
"The complex consists of a stationary fire robot, an explosion-proof television camera and a power supply unit. The total weight of the device is 18 kg. When a flame is detected, the complex transmits the coordinates of the burning source to the control system, which automatically directs the carriage barrel (water cannon) to the fire.Gorenje At the same time, an incident log is automatically kept, and all videos from the camera are saved to the archive," Rostec said.
The development and production of complexes is carried out by the enterprise of the Vega concern (the parent enterprise of Roselectronics) - the Energia plant. The robot was demonstrated at the international military-technical forum "Army-2021", the state corporation said.
"A fire at an industrial facility is always associated with a high level of risk. To prevent man-made accidents, the most reliable and effective solutions are required. The robotic fire complex developed by us allows us to detect, recognize and respond to an emergency situation at an early stage in an automated mode, " said the general director of the United Instrument-Making Corporation (the management company of Roselectronics) Sergey Sakhnenko.
Rostec added that when integrated into the existing security system, the fire complex can also perform security functions: it is able to detect intruders and prevent them from entering the object with a water jet.
