Military personnel of the scientific company at the Kirov Military Medical Academy have developed a mask that protects the respiratory tract from coronavirus, which is printed on a 3D printer. The development was presented at the Army-2021 forum, a TASS correspondent reports.
"We have masks for respiratory protection against the coronavirus. The innovation is that it has two filters: one of them [consists] of two cotton pads, and the second is a universal antibacterial filter - these are usually used in ventilators, " said the representative of the scientific company.

According to the representative of the scientific company, the working time of the universal antibacterial filter is 20 hours, for cotton pads-up to two hours. "The simplicity and technology allows us to produce masks on a large scale in the shortest possible time. One mask is printed for about five hours. The cost of one such mask is 150 rubles, " he added.
The International military-Technical Forum "Army-2021" is being held at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center from August 22 to 28.
