China has launched two experimental communications satellites into orbit using a CZ-2C rocket

The launch took place from the Jiuquan Cosmodrome

BEIJING, August 24. /TASS/. The Chinese carrier rocket CZ-2C ("Changzheng-2-xi") successfully launched two experimental satellites into orbit on Tuesday. This was reported by the Central Television of China.

The launch took place from the Jiuquan cosmodrome (Gansu Province) at 19:15 local time (14:15 Moscow time). We are talking about the satellites "Zhonghe-01" and "Zhonghe-02". By now, they have already reached the specified orbit.

The devices of the "Zhonghe" series are demonstration satellites of Internet communication.

This launch was the 385th launch for the Changzheng series launch vehicles.
