PATRIOT PARK (Moscow region), 24 Aug-RIA Novosti. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation within the framework of the Army-2021 forum signed a contract for the supply of the latest self-propelled artillery systems "Coalition-SV" to the Armed Forces, the ministry told reporters.
This is the first serial contract for the "Coalition-SV": before that, these installations were delivered to the troops only as part of an experimental batch.
"A state contract has been signed for the supply of 152-mm 2S35 self-propelled artillery guns of the Coalition-SV interspecific artillery complex," the Defense Ministry said.
The contract was signed between the military department and the Ural Plant of Transport Engineering. "The parameters of the agreement are not disclosed.
The howitzer 2S35 "Coalition-SV" with a caliber of 152 mm was developed at the Nizhny Novgorod Central Research Institute "Burevestnik". The "Coalition-SV" is based on the platform of the T-90 tank and is designed to defeat command posts, communication centers, artillery and mortar batteries, armored vehicles, air defense and missile defense systems, as well as enemy manpower at a distance of up to 70 kilometers.
The "Coalition-SV" is integrated into a single automated tactical control system that allows you to receive target indications via a digital communication channel, carry out round-the-clock monitoring of the terrain, autonomous calculation of firing installations and fire correction in any weather conditions.
