INTERFAX-The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the Kalashnikov concern have signed a long-term contract for the supply of AK-12 assault rifles, the corresponding agreement was signed within the framework of the military-technical forum "Army-2021", the press service of the concern told Interfax.
"Within the framework of ARMY-2021, a long-term contract was signed with the Ministry of Defense for the supply of AK-12," the report says.
"Hundreds of thousands of our machines will be delivered over the next few years," the press service reported.
The concern also reported about the interest in this machine from other law enforcement agencies of Russia and the CIS countries.
In January 2018, the Ministry of Defense announced the decision to adopt new Kalashnikov concern submachine guns - AK-12 (5.45 mm caliber), AK-15 (7.62 mm).
