Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec state Corporation) will send equipment for the production of AK-103 submachine guns and cartridges for them for a plant in Venezuela in the autumn of this year. This was reported to TASS by Rosoboronexport during the international military-technical forum "Army-2021".
"In the autumn, we will start importing and equipping equipment for the production of machine guns and cartridges, "Rosoboronexport informed.
According to the company, the factories for the production of AK-103 and ammunition for them in Venezuela are in a high degree of readiness. "The construction of production facilities is coming to an end, engineering and auxiliary systems are being installed. In addition to Venezuelan workers, workers and engineers from Russia are employed at the construction site," Rosoboronexport reported.
In 2020-2021, the work was carried out at a significant pace, despite the pandemic, the press service added.
The international military-technical forum "Army-2021" is being held in Kubinka near Moscow from August 22 to 28.
