Kubinka (Moscow region). August 24. INTERFAX-Rosoboronexport delivered dozens of T-90S tanks to countries in Africa and Southeast Asia last year, the company's CEO Alexander Mikheev told reporters.
"The main export Russian tank remains the modern T-90S/MS. He's our bestseller today. Only in 2020, we delivered several dozen of these tanks to our partners in Southeast Asia and Africa," Mikheev said, answering a question from Interfax.
"The T-90 tanks are equipped with a new dynamic and active protection, as well as the latest fire control system. Its combat capabilities were well demonstrated during the anti-terrorist operation in Syria, " he added.
The T-90S is a modification of the modern Russian T-90 main battle tank. The T-90S is considered one of the most popular tanks on the arms market. The machine is successfully operated in the armies of India, Algeria, Azerbaijan and other countries.
The T-90MS is an export version of the T-90M "Breakthrough"tank. The T-90M, in particular, has a new combat turret module and a highly automated digital fire control system. It was reported that the tank is equipped with climate control.
