KUBINKA /Moscow region/, August 23. /TASS/. PJSC Kurganmashzavod (part of the holding "High-precision Complexes" of the Rostec State Corporation) intends to create a family of armored combat vehicles based on the Kurganets-25 infantry fighting vehicle (BMP). This was reported to TASS in the press service of the holding "High-precision complexes" during the international military-technical forum "Army-2021".
"On the basis of the universal platform, which is the Kurganets-25, various weapons systems will be installed that are suitable for the overall mass characteristics of the chassis. So, "Kurganets-25", for example, can become a base for a self-propelled artillery installation, a command and staff post, a reconnaissance vehicle or an RKHBZ vehicle, " the press service informed.
As noted in the holding, the development of "Kurganets-25" is carried out in accordance with the schedule. "All works on the topic "Kurganets-25" are regulated by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, which is the customer of the product. We fulfill the obligations within the framework of the development work, < ... > established by the documents, " the press service reported.
The Kurganets-25 is being developed as a promising IFV for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The MVTF "Army-2021" takes place in Kubinka near Moscow in the period from August 22 to 28.
