Jerusalem. August 22. INTERFAX-The Israel Defense Forces launched airstrikes on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip after a border police officer was seriously injured during riots near the border security barrier, the Israeli army said in a statement.
"The raids were launched due to riots in the area of the border barrier, as well as due to shooting at a border police officer," it says.
Strikes by Israeli Air Force fighter jets were carried out on four different Hamas facilities in Gaza, where weapons were produced and stored, the army informs.
