Earlier, on July 28, Nikita Dorofeev, the head of the cabin department of the Sukhoi Design Bureau, said that in the future the pilot of the Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighter will be able to control the aircraft with eye movements or voice. Despite the complexity of such a system, since the human pupil is constantly moving unconsciously, its prototype already exists, Dorofeev pointed out. Also, at present, the task is to teach the system to understand not memorized phrases, but the context, so that in extreme conditions "the pilot does not need to remember exactly what phrase he should pronounce".
A week earlier, Dmitry Shugaev, director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation (FSVTS), said that Russia had begun preliminary negotiations on the supply of the Su-57 fighter to foreign customers. At the same time, according to him, the new fighter will be delivered to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation as a priority.
In July, it became known that five countries had submitted applications for the purchase of Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighters. The head of Rosoboronexport, Alexander Mikheev, predicted a significant demand for this model in the coming years. He added that the Su-57 is one of the best fighters in the world in terms of its tactical and technical characteristics and has various advantages.
