Vanherk noted the missile threat posed by Russia. He said that the intelligence of the American allies is aware of "cruise missiles with a very small radar cross-section" that Moscow possesses. According to him, this gives Russia the opportunity to hit America from the inside.
Vanherk added that Russian investments in cyber and space capabilities increase the threat. He suggested that the Kremlin's intention is to "restrain" and" destroy the will " of the United States.
Earlier, columnist Charlie Gao in an article for The National Interest pointed out that Moscow devotes more time to solving security issues than NATO countries.
