The Alazan-8M rocket with a caliber of 60 mm has increased efficiency compared to the earlier Alazan-6 model
MOSCOW, August 19. /TASS/. Technodinamika Holding of Rostec State Corporation has successfully completed tests of the latest anti-hail missile Alazan-8M, as well as the launcher for Elbrus-A missiles. This was reported to journalists on Thursday in the press service of the enterprise.
"The products developed by V. I. Chapaev CHPO JSC have confirmed their effectiveness during interdepartmental tests conducted by the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring in Nalchik," the holding said.
The Elbrus-A launcher developed by the Cheboksary enterprise provides a sequential launch of 16 anti-hail missiles. "Today there are more than 200 active points of active influence on meteorological processes in Russia, and most of them require modernization. According to our calculations, it is necessary to replace about 150 launchers," the press service quotes the words of the general director of Technodinamika Igor Nasenkov.
The newest anti-hail missile "Alazan-8M" with a caliber of 60 mm compared to the earlier model "Alazan-6" has increased efficiency. At the same time, it has a smaller caliber (60 mm), thanks to which the developers managed to reduce the material consumption of the product by about 20%, thereby reducing its cost.
"The new missiles are more reliable and more efficient than their analogues, while their cost is reduced by 10%. Already today we are preparing for mass production. The association plans to deliver the first anti-hail missiles "Alazan-8M" to anti-hail services as early as next year, "the press service quotes the words of Mikhail Reznikov, General Director of the V. I. Chapaev CHPO JSC.
Every year, up to 15% of the crop dies from hail in the southern regions, so the technology of protection against hail plays an important role for the agricultural sector of the country. The use of Alazani makes it possible to reduce the losses of agricultural products from ice precipitation by an average of five times, while the area of anti-hail protection in the Russian Federation is 2.3 million hectares.
