This will increase the effectiveness of combat operations and reduce personnel losses, said Mikhail Osyko, a member of the board of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation
MOSCOW, August 19. /TASS/. The Russian military intends to pay special attention to the creation of ground-based robotic systems that will increase the effectiveness of combat operations and reduce personnel losses. This was stated in an interview with TASS on the eve of the international forum "Army-2021" by Mikhail Osyko, a member of the board of the Military-Industrial Commission of the Russian Federation.
"In the near future, not just individual, even very effective samples of weapons and equipment will be developed, but ready-made functional systems, including means of destruction, target reconnaissance, automated control and much more. Special attention is paid to the creation of ground-based robotic complexes for military purposes, which will increase the effectiveness of combat operations and reduce personnel losses," he said.
Osyko stressed that this is facilitated by the widespread development of digital technologies and artificial intelligence technologies.
According to him, there was a qualitative leap in the system of armed struggle, which led to a revision of views on its preparation and conduct, including by the ground forces. "It is necessary to reduce the type and nomenclature of the same type of weapons, to integrate the means of controlling troops and weapons into a single automated control system," he said.
