Let me remind you that on August 16, the Prosecutor General's Office of Uzbekistan reported:
"On August 14-15, 22 military aircraft and 24 military helicopters of Afghanistan illegally crossed the airspace of Uzbekistan, in which there were 585 armed servicemen of the neighboring country. The aircraft were forcibly landed at the international airport of Termez, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Uzbekistan reported on Monday. On August 15, three Embraer 314 military aircraft of Afghanistan requested permission to land at Khanabad Airport in Karshi. They were redirected to Termez Airport accompanied by two military aircraft of the Uzbek Air Force MiG-29. " However, during the escort, Embraer 314 and MiG-29 aircraft collided and fell in the Sherabad district of Surkhandarya region. The pilots of these aircraft ejected and landed on parachutes, " the report says.
The next day, this statement was withdrawn without further explanation of what happened, but fresh satellite images of the Uzbek Termez airport began to appear, which show the appearance of almost fifty new aircraft and helicopters, the appearance of which coincides with that of the Afghan Air Force and the number almost coincides with what was indicated in the statement of the Uzbek prosecutor's office. It was not easy to make out the models of aircraft on the first satellite image, but now better quality images are already appearing.
The Drive posted satellite images and a brief analysis of them.
In general, it turns out that 22 new light aircraft and 26 helicopters appeared in Termez. Of these, 11 Pilatus PC-12NG light reconnaissance aircraft that were part of the special aviation wing of the Afghan Air Force attract special attention, the remaining aircraft are 6 A - 29 (Embraer 314) Super Tucano light attack aircraft and 5 Cessna 208 Caravan light aircraft (perhaps some of them are an armed version of the AC-208 Combat Caravan). Among the helicopters at the Termez airport, 19 Mi-8/17 and 7 UH-60A Black Hawk are visible.
On my own behalf, I will add that potentially some Mi-8/17 may actually be Uzbek, there are just a couple of extra helicopters compared to the number indicated in the prosecutor's office's statement, but in general, according to the number of Pilatus PC-12NG and Mi-8/17, it seems that a large part of the special aviation wing, which was engaged in supporting the forces of the Special Operations Command of the Afghan army, flew to Uzbekistan.
Well, a couple of photos of UH-60A at the airport of Uzbek Termez from the telegram channel "Military informant"
