NEW YORK, August 17. /TASS/. The launch of the American SpaceX Dragon cargo ship with payloads for the International Space Station (ISS) is scheduled for August 28. This was announced on Tuesday by the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
As reported on the agency's website, the launch of the spacecraft as part of the 23rd SpaceX commercial resupply mission to the ISS is scheduled for 03:37 East Coast time (10:37 Moscow time) from the site of the John F. Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The device will deliver various equipment to the station for conducting scientific experiments, in particular, devices that can detect vision problems and combat them. The spacecraft will also take on board a variety of useful materials, including concrete, composites and substances that can protect against the effects of radiation.
The previous launch of the Dragon cargo ship took place on June 3 from the Cape Canaveral Cosmodrome (Florida) using a Falcon 9 launch vehicle.
