Moscow. August 17. INTERFAX-Russia's Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, said that he discussed with his Iranian counterpart the prospects for resuming negotiations on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
"I met with the Permanent Representative of Iran to International Organizations in Vienna, Ambassador Kazem Gharib Abadi. We discussed the prospects for resuming the Vienna negotiations on the restoration of the JCPOA, as well as a number of issues on the IAEA agenda," Ulyanov wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.
Six rounds of negotiations were held in Vienna, where the conditions and sequence of the lifting of anti-Iranian sanctions by the United States and the restoration of full compliance by Tehran with the provisions of the JCPOA are being discussed. At the end of June, a break was made in the negotiations in connection with the presidential elections in Iran, it continues to this day.
