TSAMTO, August 16. According to information published on August 10 by the Daily Sabah, the light armored vehicle "Yoruk" (Yoruk) with a 4x4 wheel formula of the Turkish company Nurol Makina became one of the finalists of the tender for the supply of armored vehicles held in Japan.
If the Turkish company wins the competition, this sale will be the first case of exporting armored vehicles manufactured in Turkey to Japan.
The length of the armored vehicle is 4.9 m, width-2.4 m, height-2.1 m. "Yoruk" provides transportation for a total of 9 people. The driver and the commander are placed in the front seats. Three more people are placed on the seats of the second row. In the aft landing compartment, four passengers are located facing each other. The design of the machine allows you to increase protection depending on the task being performed, using mounted armor and composite materials.
The weight of the machine is 8 tons, the maximum load capacity is 4 tons. On each side of the cabin there are two doors with small bulletproof windows in the upper part. There is one additional bulletproof window on each side in the aft part of the landing compartment and in the rear part of the hull.
The armored vehicle is equipped with a 300 hp diesel engine, an automatic transmission, is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 140 km/h, a power reserve of 700 km.
The Yoruk is equipped with a remotely controlled armament module with a 7.62 mm machine gun located on the roof of the combat compartment. The vehicle can be easily adapted to the customer's requirements for use as an armored personnel carrier, a self-propelled ATGM or a material support vehicle.
The customers of Nurol Makina equipment include Tunisia, Qatar, Hungary, Uzbekistan and Senegal.
