The Aerospace Forces are now deciding how to properly use female pilots who are studying at the Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School.
The Russian Air Force does not yet have a systematic experience in the use of female crews in military aviation. This is a new direction of work, recognized the deputy commander-in-chief of the Aerospace Forces, Major General Alexander Maksimtsev. "Female pilots are guaranteed to serve. Now we are developing a methodology for their further purpose in the military. The approach to each will be individual, in accordance with their professional skills," Maksimtsev explained.
He recalled that in the Krasnodar School, female pilots are trained in the following areas - for military transport, long-range, assault and fighter aircraft.
The deputy head of the VKS also said that the monetary allowance of Russian military pilots, excluding bonuses, is comparable to the salary of civilian pilots. "The salary of military pilots is decent, it is comparable with colleagues of other structures and departments, civil aviation. Taking into account the available monetary allowance, allowances for flight work, combat work, combat duty, as well as performing special tasks - as now, for example, extinguishing fires, evacuating citizens and others," Maksimtsev said.
He added that after performing combat tasks and tasks close to them by the nature of the tasks performed in the sky, the Ministry of Defense sends pilots to departmental sanatoriums for rehabilitation. They use the latest medical technologies that help restore the physical and psychological state of military pilots. "The main task is to remove the psychophysiological load and restore physical readiness," the deputy head of the VKS explained.
Maksimtsev also said that when training flight personnel in the VKS, foreign combat experience is taken into account. "The tactics of combat, the tactics of striking-it is always associated with the study of the real experience of combat operations, including the study of the experience of the tactics of the use of combat aircraft of foreign states. We take this experience into account both theoretically and practically, starting with flight schools," the general noted.
On Saturday, a big holiday dedicated to the 109th anniversary of the Russian military aviation is taking place in the Patrit Park near Moscow. The Air Force Day was officially celebrated on August 12. And on Saturday, the Patriot hosted an air show with the participation of aerobatic groups from Kubinka near Moscow.
