The Russian army is "actually troops of constant readiness", which is facilitated by sudden checks of military personnel. This was announced on Tuesday, August 10, by Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu during his speech at the youth educational forum "Territory of Meanings".
"Today we actually have troops of constant readiness. We do not have someone who needs to be collected from somewhere, found, we have everything in constant readiness. Today I listened to the report — we have such formations, battalion-tactical groups. I pressed the button — they are ready to leave the gate in an hour. We have 168 of them today, and this is a very high figure, " the Minister of War shared.
Shoigu noted that" in an adult way " sudden inspections began to be carried out since 2012, and before that the Russian military had been aware of the upcoming inspection for a very long time.
"Sudden readiness is when you have brushed your teeth in the morning: "Why don't we check the Central Military District together with military transport aviation and airborne troops today?" the general explained.
He shared that in such a scenario, about 140 thousand people, 2.5-3 thousand planes and helicopters, 14-17 thousand armored vehicles rise at a time, after which they are transferred to familiar stages.
Earlier in the day, on August 10, Sergei Shoigu said that the most terrible threat to the country is the decomposition of society.
