TSAMTO, August 10. The latest samples of small arms, as well as extended – range flamethrowers and MANPADS "Verba" were delivered to the largest military facility of Russia abroad-a base in Tajikistan.
All of them were involved in the exercises of the Russian Federation, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, held against the background of destabilization in Afghanistan, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the press service of the Central Military District.
"The 201st military base has received the latest Kalashnikov AK-12 assault rifles, Yarygin pistols to replace Makarov pistols, modern army sniper rifles large-caliber ASVK-M, flamethrowers of increased throwing range and MANPADS "Willow". All these weapons were used by Russian units during joint exercises with Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, which were held against the background of the destabilization of the situation in Afghanistan, " the press service reported.
