Iran will be able to achieve a breakthrough in the development of nuclear weapons in 10 weeks, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said at a meeting with diplomats of states that are members of the UN Security Council.
"Iran has violated all the conditions stipulated in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, and it is only about 10 weeks away from receiving the weapons materials necessary for nuclear weapons, "the Jerusalem Post quoted the minister as saying at the meeting, which was also attended by Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid.
"Therefore, there is time to act. The world should impose economic sanctions and take prompt actions against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC - IF) of Iran, " he added.
Also at the meeting, Interfax says, the topic of the attack on the Mercer Street tanker, which Israel had previously accused Iran of organizing, was touched upon. Ganz noted that the commander of the IRGC Air Force drone Forces, Seyed Ara Jani, is responsible for the use of suicide drones in the region.
"Ara Jani is the head of the IRGC Air Force unmanned systems that struck Mercer Street. He provides supplies, training, planning, and he is responsible for many acts of terror in the region," Gantz stressed.
