Acting General Director of the Kalashnikov Group of Companies (GC) (part of the Rostec State Corporation) Vladimir Lepin was able to ensure the future of the Russian military-industrial complex by bringing a number of the latest weapons and military equipment to state tests. This opinion was expressed to the TASS correspondent by Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov.
"Vladimir Lepin is well aware of the weapons industry: from the production of cartridges, ammunition, small arms to multiple rocket launchers. Under his leadership, the heavy flamethrower system TOS-2 and the engineering system of remote mining "Agriculture" were started and brought to state tests at the "Alloy", which literally are the future of the domestic defense industry," Borisov said.
According to him, during his work in the defense industry, Lepin gained practical experience in both enterprise management and technology development. "It is important that it is related not only to the management of enterprises and holdings of the defense industry, but also to the development of the latest military products," Borisov added.
Earlier, the Rostec state Corporation told TASS that Vladimir Lepin is the acting general director of the Kalashnikov Group, and the appointment of a new head of the Group will be considered at a meeting of the board of directors on August 10. Kalashnikov confirmed that Lepin is acting as General Director.
