Moscow. August 4. INTERFAX-Units of the air defense forces of the Guards Red Banner Combined Arms Army of the Western Military District conducted an exercise with the calculations of the latest anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) "Buk-M3" in the Kursk region, the press service of the ZVO reported on Wednesday.
"According to the plan of the exercises, the on-duty calculations of the SAM with the help of detection stations revealed launches of missiles of a conditional enemy in the direction of field control points of the ground group of army troops. The calculations of the Buk-M3 division, which took up combat duty, worked out the tasks of automatic tracking and capturing targets and carried out until they entered the air coverage zone, " the report says.
"Also, the calculations of the anti-aircraft missile system have worked out interaction with the forces on duty to target the effective reflection of the blows of a conditional enemy. During the electronic launches, more than 20 targets were destroyed, " the press service noted.
