TOKYO, July 31. /TASS/. The private Japanese company Interstellar Technologies on Saturday successfully launched a rocket of its own development MOMO. She announced this on Twitter.
The launch was carried out from the cosmodrome in the northern prefecture of Hokkaido. The rocket reached a maximum altitude of 92 km, after which it fell into the Pacific Ocean. The previous launch of MOMO took place on July 3, before that, successful tests were carried out in 2019. In addition, four unsuccessful launches were previously carried out.
The length of the rocket is 10 m, the diameter is 50 cm, and the weight is about a ton.
In the future, Interstellar Technologies plans to establish commercial production of compact rockets designed to launch ultra-small satellites into orbit.
