MOSCOW, July 30. /TASS/. The demand for special versions of the new Il-114 turboprop aircraft from state customers, including the Russian Defense Ministry, will be approximately equal to 50 machines. This was announced in an interview with TASS by the first Deputy General Director of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, as part of the Rostec state Corporation) Sergey Yarkov.
"We are working with our federal executive authorities, the Ministry of Defense and other departments in another direction - the creation of special versions of the Il-114," he said. According to him, this will provide additional demand for about 50 aircraft.
Il-114-300 - A fully domestic passenger turboprop aircraft, it is an upgraded version of the IL-114. Designed for regional transportation of 68 passengers at a distance of up to 1.5 thousand km. The IL-114-300 should replace imported aircraft of a similar class (ATR-42, ATR-72, Q400) and old types of An-24/An-26 aircraft on domestic airlines. The first production cars will be released in 2023.
