Russia has transferred Su-25 attack aircraft located in Kyrgyzstan to Tajikistan, where the aircraft will take part in exercises near the border with Afghanistan. On Thursday, July 29, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Central Military District (CVO).
As explained in the Central Military District, a flight of Russian attack aircraft has already taken off from the airfield of the Russian military base in Kyrgyzstan to the Hissar airfield in Tajikistan. The aircraft will be involved in the exercises that will be held at the Harb-Maydon training ground in the Khatlon region of the republic from August 5 to 10.
In particular, the Su-25 will work out the way out from under the blows of portable anti-aircraft missile systems, will launch missile and bomb attacks on targets, and will also search for disguised bases of a conditional enemy. In addition, the pilots will train in providing fire support to tank and motorized rifle units in the conditions of an operation to destroy gangs in a mountainous and desert area.
In total, more than a thousand military personnel and about 200 units of military equipment and weapons will be involved in the exercises from Russia. In addition to the Russians, the military personnel of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will take part in the maneuvers.
