Kiev has begun monitoring the gas production platforms of the Crimea. For the first time, the Ukrainian military launched Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones on duty in the Black Sea.
The Bayraktar TB2 attack and reconnaissance drone of the Ukrainian army flew in the northwestern part of the Black Sea. The corresponding data of the air navigation portal Flightradar24 was published by bloggers.
The Turkish drone took off from the airfield near Nikolaev. He passed over Odessa, and then went to the border with Romania. There Bayraktar TB2 took closer to the Crimea, where he began to circle and collect information. The drone's flight took place at an altitude of a little more than five thousand meters.
In the Black Sea, the Bayraktar TB2, which became famous after the war in Nagorno-Karabakh last autumn, flew and maneuvered directly over the Odessa gas field, which is the main source of fuel for the Crimea. There are several mining platforms located there.
Now, according to Marinetraffic, there are also two self-lifting floating drilling rigs of Chernomorneftegaz at the field. Obviously, they are drilling new wells, as Crimean production continues to fall and it is compensated by gas pipeline supplies from the Krasnodar Territory, writes Eadaily.
