BEIJING, July 29. /TASS/. China on Thursday successfully launched the Tinahui-1-04 satellite into orbit to conduct scientific experiments and study land resources. This was announced by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC).
As specified on her page on the WeChat social network, the launch was carried out at 12:01 local time (07:01 Moscow time) using a CZ-2D rocket from the Jiuquan cosmodrome in the northwestern province of Gansu. It became the 381st for the carriers of the "Changzheng" series.
According to CASC calculations, this is the sixth space launch of China this month. The data obtained from Tinahui-1-04 will also be used in cartography and navigation.
Beijing is actively developing the national space program, developing meteorological, telecommunications and navigation satellites, as well as technologies for the exploration of the Moon. Chinese scientists are also implementing a project to study asteroids and Mars, the study of the surface of which they have already begun.
According to the official statement of the corporation, this year China will carry out at least 40 launches and set a new national record.
