The international military-technical forum "Army-2021" will be held at 26 sites in 15 subjects of the Southern Federal District and the North Caucasus Federal District, the press service of the Southern Military District (SE) reported. The forum will also be held at Russian military bases in Abkhazia, Armenia and South Ossetia.
"The largest and most spectacular event of the military-patriotic activity of the Southern Military District will take place on the territory of 15 subjects of the Russian Federation of the Southern and North Caucasus Federal Districts, as well as at military bases in Abkhazia, Armenia and South Ossetia. The opening ceremony will be held under the leadership of the commander of the Southern Military District, Army General Alexander Dvornikov, on August 27, " the message reads.
More than 12 thousand units of weapons and equipment, including the Rosgvardiya, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the border troops of the FSB of Russia, will be presented at the forum sites. "During the dynamic display of the combat capabilities of the units and weapons, the audience will be shown modern tactical methods of conducting combat operations, episodes of historical battles, as well as the flight of combat aircraft," the Southern Military District reported.
More than 40 formations and military units of the military district will take part in the events of the Army-2021 forum in the Southern Federal District, representatives of defense industry enterprises, research institutes and educational institutions are invited.
