The newest Russian Checkmate fighter will be equipped with the most modern complex of avionics equipment, Vladimir Mikheev, adviser to the First Deputy general Director of the Radioelectronic Technologies Concern (KRET), part of the Rostec state Corporation, said at the MAKS-2021 air show.
The system developed at the Ramenskoye Instrument-Making Design Bureau includes a promising large-format collimator indicator, a panoramic aviation indicator and a multifunctional remote indicator.
According to Mikheev, the equipment is in no way inferior to the aviation complexes of the American F-35, and in some respects surpasses them.
-Based on these devices, products for the latest domestic Su-57 and MiG-35D combat aircraft are being developed and tested, as well as prototypes for the Checkmate light tactical fighter presented at MAKS-2021. These developments are the next step in the development of Russian avionics and are in no way inferior to similar products installed on American F-35 aircraft, " TASS quotes Mikheev as saying.
So, all the basic flight information and data about the air situation are displayed on the panoramic indicator and the windshield. In particular, information is displayed on the target and on which missile weapons should be used in the current combat situation.
The panoramic aviation sensor indicator with a diagonal of 25 inches displays information about the status of systems and weapons, the route and the position of the aircraft on the course. Thanks to the high resolution, any graphic images can be displayed on the screen.
Another multifunctional indicator panel, also with a touch panel, is designed for entering command information into the onboard complex.
The Checkmate single-engine fighter was first demonstrated at the MAKS-2021 Air Show. The new aircraft is based on the Su-57. The fighter will be able to reach a speed of Mach 1.8-2 and carry 7.4 tons of payload. Its flight range is 3000 km, the maximum flight altitude is 16.5 kilometers. The aircraft can simultaneously hit up to six targets, using modern aviation weapons, which are placed in internal compartments, as well as on two external suspensions.
The Checkmate tests are scheduled to be completed in six years.
Earlier, photos with detailed images of the cockpit of the newest fighter were published on the Network.
