The United Engine Corporation of Rostec at the MAKS-2021 air show presented the latest industrial engine PD-14GP-1/GP-2, created on the basis of the gas generator of the PD-14 aircraft engine. The development is designed for gas turbine power plants and gas transportation units, has a resource of up to 200 thousand hours and is up to 8% more economical than analogues.
"We are presenting a gas turbine engine, which will become a new driver for the implementation of the UEC civil production program and expand opportunities in the development of the corporation's ground-based topics. PD-14GP-1/GP-2 is an example of a successful experience in transforming the scientific and industrial potential accumulated during the development of the latest aircraft engine for the production of an industrial gas turbine engine. The PD-14GP-1/GP-2 engine was created by order of Gazprom PJSC and will become the basis of a line of gas turbine units with a capacity of 12 (GP-1) and 16 MW (GP-2), and will be used as part of gas pumping and power units. Only in the interests of Gazprom PJSC, UEC plans to produce at least 200 such installations by 2030, " said Sergey Mikhailov, Deputy General Director of UEC for Energy and Industrial Programs.
The PD-14GP-1/GP-2 engine developed by UEC-Aviadvigatel JSC is based on the new generation PD-14 gas turbine aircraft engine, which is installed on the Russian MS-21-310 airliner.
For the first time in domestic practice, gas turbine installations with PD-14GP-1/-2 engines will be presented with a low-emission combustion chamber, which brings domestic GTU in compliance with international environmental requirements.
