The UAV is supposed to be developed on the basis of a "coaxial scheme similar to the Ka-226", the modular design of which allows it to be done quickly enough, said Oleg Landin, Director of Marketing and Business Development of Russian Helicopters JSC
ZHUKOVSKY /Moscow region/, July 25. /TASS/. The Russian Helicopters holding company of the Rostec state Corporation is considering the possibility of creating a version of the Ka-226 helicopter with an optional control system that allows you to fly without the participation of a pilot. This was announced to TASS by Oleg Landin, Director of Marketing and Business Development of JSC "Russian Helicopters".
"We will probably develop a drone for 1 thousand kg on the basis of a coaxial scheme by analogy with the Ka-226, whose modular design allows us to do this quite quickly, in our opinion," he said.
At MAKS-2021, Russian Helicopters presented the BAS-200 unmanned helicopter for the first time. The maximum take-off weight is 200 kg, length is 3.9 m, height is -1.2 m, maximum speed is 160 km / h, carries a load of up to 50 kg, rises to a height of up to 3,900 m, can fly for up to 4 hours. It is designed for monitoring the terrain, cargo delivery, search and rescue and agricultural work. The development of the BAS-200 project is being carried out by the national helicopter construction center "Mil and Kamov "(part of the Russian Helicopters holding company).
