Tbilisi. July 24. INTERFAX-The United States was sent to participate in the multinational exercise Agile Spirit 2021 ("Agile Spirit 2021") several hundred servicemen and Black Hawk helicopters from Ramstein Air Base (Germany) arrived in Georgia, the press service of the Georgian Defense Ministry reported.
The helicopters will be involved in military exercises in the medical evacuation component, the press service said.
Earlier, the Georgian Defense Ministry reported that the annual Agile Spirit exercises, which will be held in Georgia for the 10th time, will be held from July 26 to August 6.
About 2,500 servicemen from 15 countries - Georgia, the United States, Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Poland, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, Great Britain, Canada, Italy and Azerbaijan-will take part in the exercises.
The United States will send about 700 military personnel to Georgia for the exercises.
This week, the United States also transferred various military equipment to Georgia by sea from the Romanian port of Constanta.
