MOSCOW, July 21-RIA Novosti. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, commenting on reports about the surveillance of the phone of French leader Emmanuel Macron, said that the Russian government uses a special communication system that is reliably protected and does not need additional protection.
Macron's phone numbers in 2019 could be among those tracked by the Moroccan special services through the Pegasus program, the Monde newspaper reports.
In this regard, Peskov commented on the situation in the Russian Federation to journalists.
Peskov also noted that security measures in this matter are taken regularly.
"There is no need for additional measures," he stressed.
Earlier, the media published the results of an investigation, according to which the software of the Israeli firm NSO Group, used by the special services to track criminals and terrorists, was used to spy on politicians, businessmen, activists, journalists and opposition figures around the world.
