During the international Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2021, a foreign pilot will be allowed to fly on a multi-purpose MiG-35 fighter. This was announced by the director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS) of Russia Dmitry Shugaev.
According to him, the corresponding application was received from a foreign customer of the aircraft.
- In 2021, the Federal Customs Service of Russia received one request to organize a demonstration flight of a MiG-35 fighter with the participation of a foreign customer pilot just at the MAKS Air show, - RIA Novosti quotes Shugaev.
We will remind, earlier it became known that Russia received two foreign applications for the purchase of the latest Russian multifunctional machine.
The MiG-35, based on the legendary MiG-29, is built using fifth-generation technologies. The aircraft has reduced radar visibility, a radar with an active phased array, a helmet-mounted target designation system, engines with increased thrust and a number of other advantages. The fighter is capable of using all existing and promising means of destruction of domestic production.
In March of this year, the first batch of fighters was transferred to the units of the Russian Military Space Forces.
