The United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of the Rostec state Corporation) will install the latest hybrid power plant (GSU) on dual-purpose unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was reported in the UEC in an interview with TASS during the MAKS-2021 air show.
"At the moment, the aircraft on which the GSU will be installed is being determined, several types of dual - use UAVs are being considered," the UEC informed, adding that development work on the creation of the GSU is planned for 2024-2028.
According to the UEC, the new GSU will also be installed on a wide range of aircraft. "The GSU will be designed for use as part of light rotorcraft, aircraft of local air lines, air taxis and promising unmanned aerial vehicles for various purposes," the UEC noted.
The MAKS-2021 air Show takes place from July 20 to 25 in Zhukovsky, near Moscow.
