The Russian Design Bureau (KB) Arsenal presented at the International Aviation and Space Salon of 2021 (MAKS-2021) a mock-up of the Zeus space nuclear tug, which will receive a megawatt-class power propulsion system. RIA Novosti showed the corresponding pictures in its Telegram channel.
The agency reminds that "Zeus" is being created "for flights to the planets of the Solar system."

In May, the agency, referring to the materials of the Keldysh Research Center, reported that the Zeus space nuclear tug with a megawatt-class power propulsion system can be used in the Russian air defense system.
The capabilities available to the space nuclear tug will allow the Zeus to cover zones with a radius of 2,200 kilometers (if the power of the radar equipment is 50 kilowatts) or 4,300 kilometers (200 kilowatts). "In the second case, the entire airspace of Russia and part of the space of neighboring states will enter the zone of its operation," the Keldysh center noted.
