ZHUKOVSKY, July 20-RIA Novosti. The new Russian Checkmate fighter will be able to carry a group of drones on board, follows from the presentation of Rostec, presented during the first demonstration of the prototype aircraft at the MAKS-2021 air show.
In the video of the Rostec state Corporation, computer graphics were shown with a variant of using the Checkmate fighter link. During the flight, each fighter jet threw unmanned aerial vehicles made in the form factor of cruise missiles out of the inner fuselage compartments. The drones continued their flight together with a group of manned fighters.
As a source in the military-industrial complex previously reported to RIA Novosti, an unmanned group application system "Lightning" is currently being developed for the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation, which will include small unmanned vehicles dropped from various carrier aircraft.
Later it was reported that a control system for a group of drones is being created for the Su-57, which it will carry on an external and internal suspension.
