ZHUKOVSKY, July 20-RIA Novosti. The new Russian single-engine fighter Checkmate has become the first domestic combat aircraft that is designed for a given cost of sale to customers, according to the presentation of the aircraft, which was presented at the MAKS-2021 air show.
Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin was shown a new Russian military fighter - a light tactical single-engine Sukhoi aircraft-at MAKS.
The Sukhoi LTS is Russia's first light multi-purpose fighter of the fifth generation with a single engine. As Dmitry Shugaev, director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS) of Russia, previously reported to RIA Novosti, this machine has breakthrough characteristics, including high flight qualities, wide strike and reconnaissance capabilities, the latest complex of avionics equipment, reduced radar visibility.
