ZHUKOVSKY /Moscow region/, July 20. /TASS/. The aircraft engines developed by the United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec) will increase the demand for Russian aircraft and helicopters on the foreign market. Therefore, we expect..> this is a breakthrough, because the presence of a foreign engine, of course, creates certain restrictions in the conditions of sanctions, in the conditions of competition in the market. Therefore, the presence of aircraft complexes, aircraft, helicopter, Russian engines in the composition is a great advantage, " Mikheev said.
Currently, UEC is developing the VK-650V engine. The product has a take-off power of 650 horsepower and is intended for operation as part of the Russian Ka-226T light class helicopters. It is also possible to install its modifications on Ansat-U, VRT-500 helicopters and foreign helicopters of the same class of payload capacity. The VK-1600V engine is being created for the promising Ka-62 multi-purpose helicopter, the VK-2500P engine has been developed for the Mi-28NM combat helicopter, and the TV7-117ST engine has been created for military transport aviation.
