MOSCOW, July 20-RIA Novosti. For the first time, Russia will present the Orion-E export drone in a strike version, Dmitry Shugaev, director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS), told RIA Novosti in an interview.
The premiere will take place at the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2021.
He added that in 2019-2021, foreigners ordered nine Orions: two for display and demonstration tests, seven for delivery.
The launch of the promotion of the first export Orion to the world market in the combat version was previously reported by a source of RIA Novosti in the military-industrial complex. He mentioned that the first applications have already been received.
"Orion-E" belongs to the class of medium-high impact UAVs of long flight duration, it can be in the air for up to a day.
The strike variant is equipped with a universal complex of aviation weapons that allows you to effectively destroy both stationary and moving ground targets, armored vehicles and enemy vehicles, as well as its manpower.
The weapons include unguided and adjustable aerial bombs, as well as various guided missiles. The maximum mass of the combat load of the drone is 200 kilograms, the total mass of the payload is up to 250 kilograms.
The drone is supplied to the Russian armed forces under the name "Pacer". Its maximum take-off weight is 1150 kilograms, cruising speed is 200 kilometers per hour, maximum flight altitude is seven kilometers, wingspan is 16 meters, length is eight meters.
